Sky Media UGC Ad Approval Process

Sky Media UGC Ad Approval Process

Sky Media User-Generated Content (UGC) Approval Process

To ensure all advertising meets broadcast standards, user-generated content (UGC) must be reviewed and approved by Sky Media before it can be scheduled.

Step 1: Submit Your Creative

Upload your completed advert when completing the booking process on BMA.

Step 2: Initial Review

The Sky team checks that all required assets have been received and that your advert is suitable for submission to Sky Media.

Step 3: Sky Media Approval

Your UGC advert is submitted to Sky Media for compliance review. The creative is assessed against UK broadcast advertising requirements, including:

  • Advertising Standards and compliance

  • Technical broadcast specifications

  • Clearance of claims, imagery, and messaging

  • Copyright, trademarks, and permissions

  • Any sector-specific regulations

Step 4: Feedback (If Required)

If Sky Media requests amendments, we'll let you know what changes are needed. Once updated, we'll resubmit the advert for approval.

Step 5: Approval Confirmed

Once approved, your advert is cleared for broadcast and scheduled to run on your booked campaign dates.

Step 6: Campaign Goes Live

Your advert is broadcast according to your agreed media schedule, and we'll keep you informed throughout the campaign.

Please note: Approval timelines can vary depending on the complexity of the creative and whether any amendments are required. To avoid delays, we recommend submitting your advert well in advance of your campaign start date.
